So far in fiscal year 2022, Customs and Border Protection have encountered over 340 potential terrorists.
That number includes 66 illegals who attempted to jump our southwest border with Mexico, as well as 60 who passed through official ports of entry. Another 217 members of the terrorist watchlist were identified across ports of entry on the northern border with Canada.
Agents also stopped 23,264 criminals, nearly 14,000 (13,883) of whom showed up at ports of entry on the southwest border.
The remainder (9,381) caught at the border committed 12,778 crimes, including 53 homicides and 283 sex offenses. More than 5,000 of those crimes were illegally reentering the country.
